This inventory system is part of a larger effort to increase sustainable practices in VWU's Theatre Department. By keeping an up-to-date list of all the items available to us, we can make better use of our resources, which helps us to decrease waste. Reusing old pieces is critical in practicing sustainablity, but in order to do that, we have to know what pieces we have!
When you request access to the inventory, you will be asked to assign yourself a role. All approved users will be able to view the inventory, but only certain security levels will be able to add items to the inventory, or approce access requests. If you're unsure of what role you should assign yourself, feel free to ask!
Our hope is that with this inventory, not only will we be able to increase our own sustainablity, we'll make it easier for our partners and our successors to do the same! This inventory will help us save money, time, and effort in every production moving forward, and allow us to collaborate more freely, and focus our energy in putting on the best production possible.
