The main purpose of this iPhone Application “Smart Camera” is to assist with the identification of everyday items that the user has a question about. This application can be used to identify anything in categories such as trees, animals, food, vehicles, consumer goods, and generic objects. This application utilizes Apples available machine learning models, the IPhone camera, and the IPhone photo storage to assist in the identification and storage of the objects captured by the camera.
The purpose of this research was to learn a new programming language and to learn about utilizing Machine learning and Deep learning while developing a practical and functional application that can be used to assist people in their day to day lives.
